- Document any findings with photos in the asset record.
- Check for Internal Damage:
- If qualified and safe, open exterior access panel to check for board or fuse damage.
- Tag and Isolate the Device:
- Label the device as Do Not Use Under Inspection.
- Move the unit to a safe, non-operational area.
- Log Service Case:
- Create a new Case and associate the affected Asset.
- Include detailed description and technician notes.
- Warning: Burning smells may indicate critical component failure. Always treat as a high-priority service event.
